I walked into Kroger yesterday. I was headed for the fruit I've been meaning to buy for the last week or so. A lovely, colorful endcap catches my attention. 10 for $10.00 That ALWAYS catches my attention. Especially since Kroger does not make you buy all 10 to get the item for $1.00. Walgrenn's DOES-be careful! I look to see what goodies are on the 10 for 10 shelf. I find Clif Bars. Hmmm...your usual organic, all-natural, blah, blah , blah.....bar. Only $1.00. Will fit nicely in my lunchbag. And will tame the hungries. I pick up a few. You can't go wrong with something called "White Chocolate Macadamia Nut and Chocolate Brownie. You just can't. And I was soooooooo right. No ingredients I can't pronounce. Just organic, all-natural YUM! Went back and bought 10 more today.
Also on sale-Kashi cereal. For $2.99!!! That's a steal for cereal even if it isn't Kashi!! Bought four flavors. Opened the Autumn Wheat first. AND I'M NOT JUST MAKING THIS UP-YUM! It's good!!! I'll let you know how I like the other flavors when I get to them. If they are anything like the Autumn Wheat, I'm in business! And I opened the Autumn Wheat first because it was the one I thought I would like the least!
I also bought steel cut oats to try a crock pot recipe our friend gave us. I know they are completely healthy and good for you. Totally whole grain. I'm going to try and start eating them in the morning every once in a while...heck, maybe even in the evening! (Oatmeal-it's not just for breakfast anymore)! I hope I like it! The crock pot recipe calls for heavby cream...I wonder if I can just use milk. I'll keep you posted!
