"Isn't this the pooch mobile??"

Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!!! It's been a rough week!  I finally got over my vicious 4 day headache and my tummy stopped hurting yesterday and I was all set to come home after a long day of work and excercise when...crash...bump...bang...smoke....funny smell....what is happening?????? Did I hit something?  Did I run over a body? Because that's what it felt like!!! We figured out that I did something to my transmission and the car just stopped moving altogether. There was trasmission fluid all over the roadway. For any of you who live around here, it happened on Hopeful Church Road. Not fun when tons of snow line the roadways and there is no shoulder on which to pull over.  Luckily, there must have been a cop a few cars behind me and he came right up behind me and put on his lights.  What an angel. I called for roadside assistance. "Due to the circumstances in your area, the wait will be at least 60 minutes." Oh dear...the cop said it couldn't wait that long and he would call for me.  I asked him to call Florence Frame & Body...they had been wonderful to me back in November. He did.  The tow truck driver recognized me right away..."Isn't this the pooch mobile?" he said. (I'm a pet sitter and dog walker). I'm not going to repeat what I thought he said, but then I got it!  "Yeah..it's me again!" I'm glad I got the same guy, Steve, because he is very nice. He didn't even make me pay for the tow last night! He said to just pay when I could.

So now I'm carless and hubs is driving me to all my visits today.  Ohhhh...NOT a happy camper(him)! But he's putting on his game face because that's what has to be done.  And I appreciate that very much.  It's just that, well, the last time we tried this we got into a huge fight and he dropped me off at the rental car place and drove away!  I must say I was pushing his buttons pretty good that time. I'll have to try to be nicer today.  Thanks, hubby! You might want to bring a good book!

So, anyway...I never wanted this blog to be about anything other than losing the forty pounds, but I have to make an exception here to tell you why I am so slack in writing.  As soon as I get this car thing figured out, I will GET BACK TO BUSINESS!!! NO MORE EXCUSES!!!!
